The simple, naive illustrations for Ilarie Voronca's 1929 poetry book "Plante și animale” (Plants and animals) were done by Brâncuși. The book is sought after by collectors of avant-garde books and, as a result, the copy of the book numbered #1 was sold for the highest price a poetry book ever had at an auction in Romanian.
