弗里茨·希普勒 Fritz Hippler
German filmmaker and Nazi propagandist. His father died in 1918 while fighting for Germany during the final battles of World War One. Joined the Nazi party in 1927. Made many anti-Jewish propagnda films, his most infamous is "Der ewige Jude" (The Eternal Jew). Documented the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Despite making big anti-Semtic films, he was at odds with Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. In an interview given only months before his death, Hippler gave contradictory responses to questions regarding his life and career as a Nazi propagandist. Once he answered: "If it were possible to annul everything (about the film) I would. Terrible things happened and I had many sleepless nights because of this." Fritz Hippler passed away in 2002.
