Los Angeles-based, Texas born-and-bred cinematographer Corey Walter started out as a still photographer, shooting for W Magazine, the New York Times, The London Sunday Telegraph, Nike, Apple and more. When he realized cinematography was his true calling, he pivoted. Today, Walter has a string of cinematographic credits to his name, including HBO Max's Tokyo Vice, based on Jake Adelstein's first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. He was DP on Fleishman is in Trouble, a 2022 television mini-series for ABC Signature produced by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, and starring Clare Danes and Jesse Eisenberg. Walter also worked as DP on Apple TV+'s WeCrashed, a drama mini-series produced by Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello, starring Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto. Other narrative projects include the 2019 feature film Lying and Stealing, directed by Matt Aselton and starring Theo James and Emily Ratajkowski; the 2018 feature film The House of Tomorrow for director Peter Livolsi, starring Asa Butterfield; a 2015 television pilot for Amazon, The Highston, for directors Dayton/Faris; and an interactive art film Station to Station in 2015 directed by visual artist Doug Aitken. Walter also served as DP on Goodbye to All That, which garnered two nominations and won a jury award at the Tribeca Film Festival. In the commercial arena, Walter has filmed for brands like Adidas, Apple, American Express, Playstation, ESPN, Coach and Kate Spade. He has worked on numerous shooting campaigns, filming hundreds of commercials for directors like Stacy Wall, Matt Aselton, Dayton/Faris, Phil Morrison, Ted Pauly and more.
