Lino Colicchio was an Italian actor, screenwriter, and director. He was born in Merino, Italy, on August 21, 1943. His career started as a television actor and had performed in many programs on television. Colicchio was a well-known television actor before breaking into film with an uncredited role in Franco Zeffirelli’s The Taming of the Shrew in 1967. this was a perfect masterpiece. After the iconic role in the movie, Lino appeared in over seventy films and television dramas. After that, he tried his luck as a film director and screenwriter. Lino won a special David di Donatello acting award for his eye-catching and fabulous acting in the movie The Garden of the Finzi-Continis. Lino appeared in a number of films and television programs, including Last Days of Mussolini, Lion of the Desert, Canto D’amore, Escalation, The House with Laughing Windows, Cross Shot, The Three of Us, and A Second Childhood. Not only that Lino was a successful career as an actor but he was also known for his direction ability. In 1995 he wrote and directed Pugili, an award-winning film about the world of boxing.
