Willy Sansen，1972年于美国加州大学伯克利分校获得电子学博士学位。1980年始加入比利时鲁汶大学ESAT实验室，成为一名全职教授。1984年始领导ESATMICAS实验室进行模拟电路设计研究。他是IEEE的会员，ISSCC－2002会议的执行主席，现在是IEEE固态电路协会的副主席。指导了超过50篇关于通信，消费类电子和传感器应用方面模拟集成电路设计的博士论题，编著和合作编著了13本书籍。在国际期刊和会议上发表了550余篇论文。
