社会学家、哲学家，生于波兰，曾任华沙大学社会学系教授、利兹大学终身教授。著有《现代性与大屠杀》《现代性与矛盾》《后现代性及其不满》《立法者与阐释者》《流动的现代性》《怀旧的乌托邦》等。
