The Practice of Philosophy

Intended as a supplement for Introduction to Philosophy courses. Based on the author's nearly 30 years' of teaching introductory philosophy -- and his observations of where beginning students run into difficulty -- this compact "primer" gives students the basic tools they need to explore philosophical reading and writing for the first time.

杰伊·F. 罗森伯格（Jay F. Rosenberg，1942—2008），生前系美国北卡罗来纳大学哲学教授，W. 塞拉斯的学生。研究领域涵盖形而上学、知识论、语言哲学和哲学史（康德），晚年也涉猎人工智能哲学。一生出版十部著作，发表八十篇专业论文。著有《穷学生的烹饪欢饮管家术》《语言表征》《同一个世界及我们对它的知识》《思想着的自我》《超越形式主义：献给人类的“命名与必然性”》等。
