肖恩·墨菲，伦敦大学皇家霍洛威学院信息安全专业教授。主要从事密码学特别是加密算法方面的研究。曾率先发表过多篇差分密码分析方面的论文，并撰写了大量有关加密算法的论文。

弗雷德·派珀，1975年起担任伦敦大学数学系教授，1979年开始从事安全领域的工作，1985年成立codes＆ciphers有限责任公司，提供信息安全领域的咨询服务。现为伦敦大学皇家霍洛威学院信息安全专业的主任。
