作者亨利·嘉当是法国著名的数学家。法国科学院院士，美国科学院外籍院士，嘉当还是日本、波兰、马德里等近10个国家的院士或名誉院士。1980年获Wolf奖。1985年曾访问中国，并与《解析函数论初步》的译者余家荣先生有深厚的友谊。余家荣先生是武汉大学教授，1950年在法国巴黎大学获国家数学科学博士学位。专于复变函数研究。
