杰森·奥尔达克 Jason Oldak
Jason Oldak is a cinematographer with almost two decades of experience across large and small-scale feature films, episodic television, documentaries, and numerous commercial projects. Most recently, his outstanding work was showcased in Apple TV+'s Lessons in Chemistry, starring Brie Larson and Lewis Pullman, based on the NY Times best-selling novel. In the summer of 2023, Jason also wrapped on the feature film Doin' It, starring Lily Singh, directed by Sara Zandieh and produced by Antony Bregman of Likely Story. Jason's career includes work on many award-winning TV series, including Hulu and Onyx Collective's UnPrisoned, starring Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo; Max's Minx, created by Ellen Rapoport and starring Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson; and two seasons of NBCUniversal's beloved comedy series Good Girls, starring Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman. He also worked on other projects for Lionsgate, Starz, Walt Disney Pictures, Netflix, FX, and more, including most recently providing additional photography on the limited FX series The Sterling Affairs, starring Lawrence Fishburne, Jackie Weaver, and Ed O'Neil. His award-winning work has been showcased at the finest film festivals worldwide. In 2019, Sword of Trust, directed by Lynn Shelton, was part of the official selection and the opening night film at the South by Southwest and the Seattle International film festival. Another project Jason shot, Dependency, was shown as part of the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, screened at the EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival, and awarded at the Hamptons International Film Fest. Additionally, he served as cinematographer on Five Star Day and Broken Heartland, both of which had successful festival runs and won awards across the United States. "The entire filmmaking process is collaborative, creative, and extremely fulfilling on so many levels," Jason explains. "I enjoy, more than anything, working alongside passionate artists to help visualize their script in a daring and impactful way. An integral part of the process is constantly thinking outside of the box and off the cuff." Jason was born in California and raised in New York City, where he began his career by graduating from the prestigious Cooper Union with a BFA in Fine Art and, following his fascination with cinema, earning an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory. Jason is now based in Los Angeles, where he resides with his family.
